Project Overview

Construction of the 25-storey high-rise Trust Tower, housing the Headquarters of Trust International Insurance Company. The total height of the tower is 98m and its design incorporates unique architectural features making it a prominent landmark in theDiplomatic Area. The building includes 2 basement levels accommodating parking for 90 cars, plus modern state-of-the-art facilities such as a swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms, a fitness centre, an auditorium, conference rooms, a coffee shop, etc.

The building has a structural steel frame encased by in situ concrete and is fully clad in a gold and blue glazed curtain wall system. The building footprint occupies the full area of the plot on a busy high profile commercial location where key Government Ministries, financial institutions and other corporate offices are situated. As such, the use of sheet piling, supported at various heights, was used as a retaining structure to overcome the technical challenges of excavating to a depth of 9 meters for the basements while protecting the vital public services running adjacent to the property line.

Trust International Insurance occupies the ground floor (reception, parking and office spaces), the mezzanine floor (fitness centre, restaurant, swimming pool and auditorium), the 14th to 20th floors (office spaces) and the 21st floor (luxury penthouse apartment for the CEO). Other floors were reserved for leasing as serviced offices. Landscaping and gardens are provided on the1st, 3rd and 18th floor terraces.

The building is equipped with a fully automated building management system, a high-tech security control system and three high speed elevators. The roof level accommodates the chillers, lift machine rooms, BMU service cradle, etc. The electrical rooms, generator room, central battery room and pump room are situated in the basement floors.

Finishing works to the two basement levels, ground floor, mezzanine floor and 13th to 21st floors were carried out by GPZ’s specialised divisions. Office floors were fitted-out with high quality finishes all-round, such as wood and glazed partitions, wood parquet and carpet flooring, gypsum suspended ceilings with decorative bulkheads, wood paneling on the walls and suspended glazing. The luxury Penthouse floors include high quality decorative wood paneling on the walls, marble wall and floor finishes and decorative gypsum suspended ceilings with specialised decorative paint finishes.
